The Dopesters, the magical, crazy and beautiful musical group started out in the summer 2001. A lack of cash, things to do and
good parties resulted in these recordings. Ben Dover and Grand-Bang-Dan just began writing these weird songs. Well what is the concept?
Why are they called The Dopesters? And what does it all mean? Grand-Bang-Dan has all the answers.

The Dopesters, super heroes for a world that worships drugs, porn, and the deadly plague that has infected humanity. The need for porn, masturbation, drugs, talk shows, murder, violence, rape and so on is something that we want to bring out in the open. We hate all these things, stupidity seems to be godliness these days and it’s all f****d up. And we believe that Christianity and other religions, even Satan worshipping has brought this plague forward through out the years. These needs, which never existed before, have suddenly become a factor if you want to survive. Jack off until your cock falls of, watch TV and let mainstream music program your brain. Is this what we want? Is this what we want our children to grow up to believe in? I know I don’t. But there are people, artists and groups that see this sickening truth. Some of those people and groups are: The Dopesters, Slipknot, The Dark Utopian Carnival, Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails. Most people are blind to the truth because they are too comfortable with useless existence, 9-5 lives, watching TV and fading away. The Dopesters is a band that’s not happy with this world, we’re not just going to sit back and say: “Well hey, this world is sick, but what can I do?” and watch the TV and let our brains decompose. You need to take action, you need to get the message out. It doesn’t matter if you’re a writer, painter or a musician. The former humans that now have become slave-rape-dreaming-killer-monsters need to realize that they’re living a lie. Through music, through art we can get the human evolution moving again. Through the different art forms maybe we can shut up religion and ignorance and build a new world. The Dopesters may sound freaking sick, but there is lots of irony within it all. We’re here to do what we can to change this world, and nothing can stop us, not even you and your incest dreams. We’re just as sick or less, then this world and all of you. If you’re not crazy, you’re sick.
